Al tratarse de un tipo de construcción ligera y con una alta rigidez se encuentra su aplicación en la construcción de naves, puentes, grúas y torres. Estas formaciones son estructuras de celosía en las que las barras están exclusivamente sometidas a la presión o a la tracción, pero no a la flexión.
El equipo SE 130 permite realizar ensayos en celosías planas con gran precisión de las medidas y la representación esquemática de los resultados con ayuda del software suministrado. La estructura de celosía premontada se coloca en un bastidor en posición horizontal. Las barras se unen de forma “articulada” por medio de discos nodales. Nuestra estructura se puede considerar, por lo tanto, una celosía ideal. La carga externa se genera con ayuda de un tornillo. La carga se puede aplicar desde diversas direcciones y en distintos puntos.
Los esfuerzos que aparecen en las barras de la celosía se miden mediante técnica de medición con galgas extensométricas. Todos los puntos de medida están conectados en una caja de extensometría. A ésta se conecta el amplificador de medida FL 152. Con el software se manejan los datos registrados y se representan gráficamente los esfuerzos en las barras. El software cuenta con una función de ayuda muy completa.
