The water tank HM 162.20 is necessary if the the flume HM 162 is extended to a larger experimental length to ensure that there is always sufficient water available.
The water tank is manufactured from GRP and is equipped with an aluminium cover. The cover has an anti-slip surface; it thus possible to walk on the tank.
The connection to the existing water tanks of the experimental flume HM 162 is made with the aid of two connecting pieces. In addition, the water tank is equipped with a water outlet in the middle.
If the experimental section is extended to 10m or 12,5m, one additional tank HM 162.20 is necessary. As the flume already includes two tanks, at the maximum length of the experimental section the number of tanks is increased to three.
